Dr. Ian Shuman maintains a general, reconstructive, and aesthetic dental practice in Pasadena, Maryland. He is a Master in the Academy of General Dentistry, a past Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and a Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy. He has been the Editorial Director of Continuing Education for PennWell Publishing and an advisory board member for Dentistry Today. Since 2005, Dentistry Today has named Dr. Shuman one of its 100 Leaders in Continuing Education.
Since 1993, Dr. Shuman has personally authored a vast array of peer-reviewed published articles. As a lecturer and author, he has developed and taught his advanced, minimally invasive techniques to dentists worldwide. His mission is to teach dental professionals the most current methods for creating beautiful, long-lasting restorations that preserve maximum tooth structure.

I am the biggest baby when it comes to going to the dentist. I am one of those who frets about it weeks and days before, especially the night before the appointment. With that said, Dr. Shuman can ease my mind and has the skills to make my appointment as pain-free as possible. He is the only dentist I want to see, so I continue to visit his practice even though I no longer live in the state. His staff is also always very friendly and helpful as well.
